Rose gold Wedding! Everyone seems to want it at the minute!

Rose Gold Wedding. When Elegant meets Rustic!

I loved putting these wedding items together. Who doesn’t love Rose Gold? To make this all the more pleasing for me, the bride wanted  a rustic element tied in too.

She needed me to up-cycle various items she already had….. MY FAVOURITE thing to do 🙂 She wanted ‘different’ ALSO my favourite thing to do!

  1. Rose Gold glitter featured… incorporated into her table name-cards and table display. DONE!

2. Old cheap wooden frames, pine, made rustic with a grey appearance… DONE!

3. An old cream birdcage (somehow incorporated)- DONE!

The Altering.

The frames were plain pine wood. Altered by first staining with a dark woodstain, raising the grain with a wire brush,  painted grey and then sprayed white. A good sanding then revealed the dark stain and grey beaneath the white, only in certain areas of the frame.

The birdcage was sprayed first with copper metallic spray paint. Sanded and then a coat of metallic rose gold spray paint over the top. The rose gold spray on it’s own looked very pink. I pasted a cardboard base for it and stuck down some moss over the top. I added some votive candles, some GOOD silk flowers and a grey hessian bow.

The framed Thank you print was done with rose gold heat foil on to 300gsm card before putting in the frame to which I had hot glued some floral accents and some rose gold foiled leaves.

Hanging Table number- Hot foil number. Die cut detail. Hung from frame with curled rose gold wire. DIFFERENT!

If you would like some help with ideas for your table decor for your special day, please drop me a wee message and we can arrange to meet up and go through ideas over a cuppa 😉

Personal Wedding Table Numbers-Table decor

Have you been thinking about your table decor for your wedding?

How about these adorable

Personal Wedding Table Numbers.

Featuring photo’s of the bride and groom as children on their table numbers.

I’m going to try and feature some of my table number designs and name cards from recent weddings this week. so give me a shout if you get some ideas from these. I would love to help you.

Your Wedding Day should be a reflection of you and what the day means for you as a couple.

I just adore these Table numbers. The bride wanted to feature pictures of herself and her husband to be at her wedding. We discussed the options of a photo tree and bookcases displaying photo frames for the entrance to the wedding.  What better place to feature them than the centre of each table.

Don’t photos always look gorgeous when converted to timeless black and white? Printed on to matt photo paper along with the table numbers in a gorgeous taily font. The photo mats are navy shimmer card. I finished them with silver satin ribbon. The table name cards were made to match.

This set was designed to match a wedding decor of elegant silver and white, (Navy suits for the men) ivory flower arrangements and mercury silver candle holders. STUNNING!

If you’re planning your wedding and would like a more personalised touch, send me a message

I’d love to help you. x

Upcycled Vintage Lamp

Upcycled Vintage Lamp

So, Technically, this upcycled Vintage Lamp isn’t a wedding Invitation based post. But this WILL feature in my new craft/meeting room so I think we can squeeze it in here 😉

My point is, if you have items around your home that you love, and that you might like to feature in your wedding decor, there’s no reason why it can’t!

I was given this gorgeous Vintage style oil lamp…. I absolutely LOVE it, but my OCD being so bad, it didn’t match anywhere in my home…. SO……, I dismantled it, stripped it down…. Metallic Pewter grey base (kept the original brass) and matt white on the shade. It Matches somewhere now ☺️

Wedding Bathroom Basket

Wedding Bathroom Basket

Are you planning on popping a wee Wedding Bathroom Basket in the ladies for your wedding Guests?

Usually when we ladies attend a wedding, we don’t carry our usual ‘suitcase’ style handbag along with us. Generally, we have a stylish and glamorous clutch bag, which we would be lucky to fit our lippy and purse in.

A wedding is often a very long day between the Ceremony and the Reception. Quite often we would really like to freshen up, or find a blister on our heel, or god forbid, accidentally tear a seam in our dress…… We are NOT likely to have a sewing kit in our bags right?

So there’s nothing nicer we could do for our wedding guests, than make sure we have a supply of the ‘little things’ we might need during the course of the day.

Here is a few things you might like to consider popping into your basket for your lovely Lady guests. xx
